New Contract Commencement in Sefton

ICare is very pleased to report that we have been successful in joining Sefton Borough Council’s new Domiciliary Care Framework (the PDPS) and maintaining our service delivery in the borough five years after our initial opening.

Furthermore, we have been chosen as a Tier 1 provider in one of three geographical zones, covering the towns of Bootle and Maghull and the Sefton Council wards of Park, Molynuex, Sudell, St. Oswald, Netherton and Orrell, Ford and Litherland.

Our Team in Sefton are based at Sefton House on Bridle road, close to the world famous Aintree Race Course, home of the iconic Grand National. Our Registered Care Manager in Sefton, Diana Wrest, said ‘We are extremely proud of our care team, and very, very happy to have won the council tender. My team and I are really looking forward to the opportunity to continue to serve Sefton residents in need of care at home throughout the new contract’.

The new PDPS framework includes a specific budget to facilitate Hospital Discharges and Hospital Avoidance, and we have staff on standby to help support this important work 7 days a week.

Following the sad passing of Michael from flat 38 Tulloch Court, I want to give my thanks to the ICare team for their support. Michael's care needs were always considered, and he was treated with dignity and grace. ICare went above and beyond to ensure a dignified end; they were amazing to Michael and gave great comfort to a very poorly man.

My overall experience is 5 out of 5 and I just want to say how safe and respected I feel by my regular carers. My two carers are really nice ladies, that always make me feel as if I'm not a burden and it's a pleasure to see me.

I would like to thank all the lovely carers from I Care that so lovingly and happily looked after my Mum for over the last 12 months. She loved you all and were an endless source of help to her and all the family. We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Staff always do their best to be friendly and helpful, even when things haven't run as smoothly as usual. Management are open to concerns and try to accommodate requests as best they can. Recently there have been some staff changes but nothing too disruptive, it has been well managed to minimise the impact on my family. Greatly appreciated!

I Care have been providing care to my Mum for 3 weeks now, very nice staff who take the time to listen and give care the way she wants. Can't fault them, really. The managers have been really helpful, and even sorted out a lift for Mum to hospital so she didn't have to wait for an ambulance.
