Care at Home

Our mission is to look after elderly in the community and also to appreciate our staff. We pride ourselves in providing care with ethos and value.

Support and care to help you stay in your home

ICare is a well-known and trusted provider of care and support. Our aim is to provide the help and assistance that you need to carry on living in your own home, keeping your independence but safe in the knowledge that support is there when you need it.

For some people, that might mean support every day to help with things like:

·        Getting dressed and undressed

·        Bathing

·        Mealtimes

·        Medication

·        Overnight Care and Support.

For others, it might just mean an hour’s support every week, helping with household chores or shopping. Our service is completely flexible and we can support you in whatever way you need.

With more than 25 years’ experience of supporting people in their own homes – we are currently delivering more than half a million hours of care every year – you can be reassured of high-quality care. Along with our head office in Blackpool, we have teams of friendly, professional, trained and qualified carers working throughout Blackpool, Blackburn, Preston, South Ribble and the rest of Lancashire, as well as  Stafford, Bury,  Knowsley, Runcorn, Sefton the Wirral and Derby. In Scotland, we have teams of carers in Glasgow.

Everywhere we work, we have qualified managers and office-based teams available around the clock to make sure you can access support when you need it the most.

Our teams

All our care workers are specially selected based on their values and their ethos, meaning that they are all caring, compassionate people with a real passion for care. We provide training and qualifications, making sure that they work in line with best practice but also, more importantly, with our own very high standards. This means that you or your loved one can be reassured of support that is dignified, professional and safe, but which is also friendly with a human touch.

Most importantly, we know that high-quality care can never be ‘one size fits all’. We take the time to get to know you and what is important to you, putting together a tailored package of care and support that is right for you. This includes a detailed understanding of what you need support with, but also how you like to be supported and your lifestyle.

As well as personal care to help with activities such as bathing, showering, dressing, toileting and other daily tasks, we can also support you with domestic tasks such as laundry, cleaning and washing up, shopping and meal preparation, through to supporting you to spend more time with family and friends and do what you love most.

Keeping your independence

We also know how important it is to people that they get to keep their independence. One part of this is being able to carry on living at home, close to family and friends. Another part of this is being able to do things for yourself and retain your dignity, so as well as the type of support you need, you can choose the level of support you need too, and our care workers know not to take things out of your hands. They always provide the right level of support, taking the time to listen and talk to you.

To find out more about how ICare can support you to live life to the fullest, get in touch with your local branch and a friendly local manager would be happy to talk to you.

At ICare, we Care for you and for our Carers it is more than a career it is also a vocation.

Would something such as the below be more suitable – I also removed the specific reference to ‘elderly’ in case you did want to leave it more open? If not, I can change to ‘elderly people’ or ‘older people’
